West Side’s roots go back to 1901 when a group of believers first gathered at State & Edwards, not far from downtown Springfield, Illinois. The church continued to grow at that location into the 1990s. After a bold 3-year transition as a tenant at Springfield High School, West Side occupied a new facility at their current site. Since then, attendance has nearly tripled, as a growing number of people have met Jesus and embraced the vision of participating in a healthy, biblical church.
