Job Summary and Position Objective

The Loan Service Representative I (“LSR I”) is an essential part of our Loan Department and our overall mission of Funding Ministry…Changing Lives. An LSR I will work closely with our Loan Manager and Loan Service Representative II (“LSR II”) to perform many processes related to the closing and servicing of a growing commercial real estate portfolio. The LSR I will provide administrative support to the loan process and be attentive to customer requests, inquiries, and loan changes. In addition, the LSR I may have to work with 3rd parties and other vendors to obtain pertinent loan related items.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.

  • Accurately maintain and update all system records, loan files, and customer requests.

  • Responsibly prepare closing packages for title companies and attorneys.

  • Review loan files for completeness.

  • Work closely with the Loan Services Manager to gather key documents for closing.

  • Order appraisal, environmental, title reports, flood determinations, and insurance certificates.

  • Review preliminary title reports and coordinate the clearing of title issues related to closing.

  • Set up new loans within core banking system and applicable spreadsheets.

  • Work closely with Accounting Services to ensure weekly and monthly ACH payment batches are created.

  • Scan all loan-related documents.

  • Work closely with the Loan Services Manager during the annual loan audit.

  • Set up and maintain ticklers in banking software.

  • Monitor loan renewals.

  • Prepare Satisfaction of Mortgage documents.

  • Monitor and prepare various internal tracking documents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Finger Dexterity:
    Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.

  • Talking:
    Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Average Hearing:
    Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

  • Repetitive Motions:
    Movements are frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Average Visual Abilities:
    Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.

  • Physical Strength:
    Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

Expected hours of work:

Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (includes 30-minute lunch)

Education/ Training Requirements:

Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Dynamics365 (CRM), BancPac and other FIS product experience preferred.

Preferred Education And Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of commercial banking or title work preferred.
